For the past 20 years, the Business Luncheon has provided the Loyola community with a great opportunity to connect on a social and professional level while hearing from some of the key leaders in the industry. Past speakers include Jeff Orr '75, CEO of Power Corporation; Daniel Fournier '71, Chairman and CEO of Ivanhoe Cambridge; Pierre Boivin, President and CEO of Claridge; Bruce Hills, President of Just For Laughs; and Darryl White '88, CEO of BMO Financial Group.
Please join us for this year's luncheon on Thursday, May 2 at 11:45 a.m. (downtown location to be confirmed). Our guest speaker will be Mr. Derek Burney who has played a central role in Canada's economic and political development in both the public and private sectors for over 50 years. He was a diplomat and political strategist under the Mulroney government (and served as ambassador to the U.S. when NAFTA was originally negotiated). He also served as President and CEO of Bell Canada International and CAE Inc. He is currently Senior Strategic Advisor at Norton Rose Fulbright, assisting clients in dealing with trade and investment policy matters.
