Come One, Come All
Saturday, July 8, 2017
Peter Ferguson ’88, was a tremendous Loyola student athlete who died at a young age. This tournament is held each year in July, to remember Peter, and all young graduates who were so tragically taken from us. It is open to all alumni, associates, family members, and students of Loyola. Tournament Chairmen, Kelly Burke and Bob Shaughnessy, invite you to participate and have a fun-filled day and evening.
Soooooo, mark your calendars: Saturday, July 8th, 2017 at the Lafleur Golf Club. The same Vegas format from previous years will be used. You do not have to be an accomplished golfer to play in this prestigious event. The emphasis is on participation not competition. (But isn’t it great the Burke clan won last year – actually we’re pretty sure we didn’t win but we’ll take credit).
You will be notified by phone as to your starting time.
The $110 cost per person includes green fees, cart, a full sit-down roast beef dinner, a pitcher of beer at the end of the round for your foursome, a prize of incalculable value, and an afternoon of shenanigans and delightful company. If you are able to donate a prize, we, and the person who acquires it, thank you. Sean Burke has supplied the majority of prizes over the years so it would be great if we had a few more donors – and thank-you again.
The intent is to keep the cost of the tournament as low as possible so that recent graduates can afford to play in this event. We would also like to offer, each year, a full bursary in Pete’s name. Obviously the $110 fee will not cover this. So, if your finances are such that you can help us out, it would be greatly appreciated (all donations to the bursary will receive a tax receipt).
Look forward to seeing everybody!!
