Daily Events

  • Secondary 5 Balcony
  • The Secondary V Balcony is OFF LIMITS to all students during Periods 4 and 5 today.
  • SSX Charities
  • On behalf of all 17 SSX companies, we would like to thank everyone who participated in this year's event. We our very proud to announce that we raised $14,580 for charities including: West Island Palliative Care, Montreal Oral School, Nazareth House, Brain Tumor Foundation of Canada, The Summit School, Meningitis Research Foundation, Montreal Children's Hospital Foundation, Liana's Dream Foundation and The Luca Schiavoni Fund, to name a few. Job well done!
  • Sec. V CSP at Camp Dominus Vobiscum
  • TODAY at lunch will be the final deadline for interested Secondary IV students to submit an application to Mr. Donovan for Sec. V CSP at camp DV. After today, a decision will be made with whatever applications are in.
  • Music Fridays
  • TOMORROW Friday, May 24th from noon till 12:30 p.m. come hear Orange Mattress rock out in the Atrium. Harrison Fok, Frank Anthony Caruso, Ryan Meehan-Mansi, Chris Hardy and Evan Hardy make up the band, and are sure to get you psyched up for the weekend.
  • Chess Club
  • Congratulations to Michael Tomiuk who took Game 1 in the Tournament Final yesterday. Peter Tzaferis is looking for a bounce-back game in Game 2 today in order to force a third and deciding game. Regular members of the chess club are asked to come to Room 219 at noon today for a group photo for the Yearbook.
  • Venture Meeting
  • There will be a brief but important meeting for all Venture staff today at the beginning of Lunch in Room 235. Those interested in contributing to the publication are welcome to attend as well.
  • Final Kahoot of the Year!
  • Come to the Atrium TODAY at lunch for the FINAL KAHOOT TRIVIA of the year. Warm up your brain for final exams and maybe win great prizes! Log-in starts at 11:55 a.m.
  • Mighty Clocks Shareholders
  • To all those who are shareholders for the Mighty Clucks: the company will be returning their dividends today during a meeting in Room 136 after school.
  • Smoked Station Shareholders Meeting
  • All shareholders of Smoked Station can pick up their dividends in Room 151 at the beginning of Lunch.
  • Pulp Fiction Shareholders meeting
  • Attention to all Pulp Fiction shareholders: Come to Room 134 at Lunch to collect your dividends.

Sports Announcements

  • Sports Awards
  • Big trophies are to be returned by Thursday May 30th to Mr. Lafave's Office.
  • Loyola Baseball
  • The Loyola Baseball Team played its inaugural games yesterday afternoon in a double header against LCC. Loyola swept the doubleheader with 10-0 and 9-3 victories. The team got outstanding performances from the pitching staff but the performances of the afternoon went to Ethan Clarke, who struck out 6 batters over 3 innings to go along with his three hits, and Stefano Paolucci who came in to close out the final inning by striking out the side on 10 pitches. Overall, a great first day for Loyola Baseball!
  • Bantam Rugby
  • Please dismiss players at 1:20 p.m. for their away game at CVR. GO BRAVES!!!
  • Ultimate Playoffs
  • The Ultimate playoffs will be played on Monday, May 27 at the Concordia practice field. The Semi-finals are set: Gold Rush vs Pink Peril, Green Monster vs Limelight. Finals and Consolation finals will be played right after the Semi-finals.
  • Ultimate -Teacher/Student game
  • The Teacher versus Secondary V Ultimate Players is scheduled for Wednesday, May 29th at the Concordia Practice field at 3:20 p.m. Secondary V players intending to play in the game must sign-up at the Intramural Pillar.
