52nd Annual Loyola-Ed Meagher Sports Tournament

The 52nd annual Loyola-Ed Meagher Sports tournament will take place from Saturday, January 21 to Saturday, January 28. The Loyola community is set to welcome 50 teams from the Montreal region, the Eastern Townships and Ontario that will be participating in basketball, hockey and wrestling during the exciting week of action. This is the largest high school tournament in the province and it would not be possible without the continued support of our friends, parents, alumni, staff, faculty and especially our students.  We hope to see you at some of the games.

This year we are not selling tickets to attend the tournament. Instead, we are asking members of the Loyola community to make a financial contribution in support of the event. Tax receipts will be issued. Proceeds will be directed to the athletics program. Thank you for your generosity!

Hockey and basketball matches are occurring at both the Ed Meagher Arena (dir) and the Loyola High School Gymnasium (dir). Wrestling matches will occur only on Saturday, January 28 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Bishops' Atrium of Loyola High School (dir).

Loyola Store Sale

The Mothers' Guild will be selling Loyola Store items, including brand new Loyola toques and water bottles (pictured above), during the tournament.

Please refer to the below schedule for when you can purchase items during the tournament:

• Friday, January 27: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Loyola High School Gymnasium and from 2-6 p.m. at the Ed Meagher Arena.
• Saturday, January 28: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at both locations.
