Christmas Message From President Marcelle DeFreitas

December 7, 2021

Dear Members of the Loyola Community,

As Christmas approaches, with the subsequent marking of the New Year, our busy school schedule, with its focus on academics, shifts to a precious time of celebration with families and friends.  All the learning Loyola students have accumulated - both in and out of the classroom - is summarized and expressed during exam week. This week of focused work is followed by a well-deserved break, highlighted by our communal observance of the birth of Jesus.

This is my first Christmas at Loyola, and I can say with all my heart, that it is our students who remind me every day of the extraordinary and immeasurable love that God has for us in a world that prefers light over darkness.

As we embark upon the Christmas season, I pray that your gaze be fixed on that which has transformed my heart.

I thank you for your continued support, and I extend a warm Christmas blessing to you and your families.

Merry Christmas,
Ms. Marcelle DeFreitas
