Thomas is currently studying at Marianopolis College, pursuing a double DEC in Music and Pure and Applied Science, with the goal of eventually attending McGill’s Schulich School of Music. During his final year at Loyola, Thomas Beliveau was named valedictorian and served as the 2023-24 Maroon and White President, acting as the school's ambassador.

1. As a recipient of the Christian Service Program medal, how do you plan to continue the spirit of service as a Loyola alumnus?

Having spent most of my time at Loyola in the music room, I plan to return and support the music program. I've already arranged to attend the Concert Band on Wednesdays when I’m available, offering tips and guidance to the musicians. I hope to visit the school often, as it holds a special place in my heart.

2. Reflecting on your five years at Loyola, which moment stands out as your most cherished memory?

My cherished memory at Loyola was Experience Week because of how eye-opening it was. It provided a unique and humble experience that completely shifted my perspective on the importance of giving back. Helping the community instilled in me a profound sense of purpose and fulfillment.

3. What skills or lessons learned at Loyola do you think will be most valuable in your next chapter?

I believe the time management skills I developed at Loyola will be essential as I face a heavier workload in CEGEP. Balancing sports practices, band rehearsals, club meetings, and community service with numerous quizzes, tests, and assignments has thoroughly prepared me for the challenges ahead.

4. How did your experience with a teacher as a coach differ from their role in the classroom?

Having teachers who also served as coaches was a fantastic experience. It allowed me to see a different side of them outside the classroom, fostering closer relationships. One of the best aspects of high school is staying in touch with your favourite teachers after graduation.

5.What was your favourite hangout spot at school?

My hangout at school was in the courtyard. When the weather was nice, it was the perfect place to unwind, eat lunch, and play sports.
