At a meeting of Loyola’s faculty and staff held on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, Father Matthew Hendzel, S.J., President of the Loyola High School Board of Directors, shared three important personnel updates:
- Patrick Shea ’90 has been elected to the Loyola High School Board of Governors and appointed Chair of the Board;
- Dr. Fouad Maroun has been appointed President of Loyola High School for a two-year term;
- Scott Corbett has been promoted to the position of Vice-President of Advancement.
Patrick Shea ’90 Elected Chair of the Board of Governors
On February 4, 2026 at a special meeting of the Loyola High School Board of Governors, Patrick Shea ‘90 was elected to the Board and, on the recommendation of the board members, was subsequently appointed Chair of the Board. This appointment was then ratified by the Loyola High School Board of Directors.
Mr. Shea and his family have a longstanding, multigenerational relationship with Loyola High School. After Loyola, he attended Phillips Academy, Princeton University, and McGill Law School. He is a distinguished member of the Class of 1990 having served as class valedictorian, earning the Governor General’s Medal, the President’s Medal, and the Loyola Medal, and, most recently, was inducted into the Loyola Hall of Merit in 2025. His previous service to the school includes terms as Chair of the Loyola High School Foundation, Founding President of the Loyola High School Alumni Association, and a member and Vice- Chair of the Board of Governors.
Mr. Shea is an attorney with McCarthy Tétrault LLP in Montreal where he is a Partner and Co-Head of the National Private Equity Group.
Mr. Shea assumed his role as Chair of the Board of Governors immediately following his appointment, bringing a strong commitment to Loyola High School’s mission of excellence in education, service, and community.

Dr. Fouad Maroun Appointed President of Loyola High School
On February 4, 2026 at the special meeting of the Loyola High School Board of Governors, the Board appointed Dr. Fouad Maroun as President of Loyola High School. This appointment will begin immediately and conclude at the end of the 2027-2028 school year.
Dr. Maroun joined Loyola High School in 2021 as Executive Director of Operations and was named interim President in June 2025. In both capacities, he has overseen finance, human resources, information technology, and facilities management, and led numerous strategic development and organizational initiatives for Loyola, including the renovation of the school’s gymnasium.
Dr. Maroun holds a Master of Engineering from McGill University and an Executive Doctorate in Business Administration from Université Paris Dauphine. He brings significant international leadership experience, having served for 12 years as Secretary General of Saint Joseph University in Beirut, a Jesuit institution.

Scott Corbett Promoted to Vice-President of Advancement
Scott Corbett joined Loyola High School in 2021 as Executive Director of Advancement and was mandated to oversee and modernize Loyola’s Communications, Marketing, Admissions, Fundraising, and Alumni Relations functions in support of advancing Loyola’s mission of academic excellence, community engagement, and Jesuit values.
In his new role as Vice-President of Advancement, Mr. Corbett will continue to serve on Loyola’s senior leadership team and will oversee the strategic direction of all advancement initiatives, ensuring continued growth in philanthropy, community engagement, and institutional visibility in support of the school’s long-term vision.
Mr. Corbett’s appointment reflects Loyola’s commitment to strengthening its leadership team and positioning the school for continued growth and impact. His dedication to Loyola’s mission and his ability to build strong and lasting relationships will continue to serve the school and its community well.
Prior to joining Loyola, Mr. Corbett held advancement roles at McGill University and senior leadership positions in the private sector, where he developed extensive experience in organizational leadership, strategic planning, marketing, and relationship management.
